In a unique, hand-made terracotta bottle. Produced in Puglia, Italy.

Terracotta is known for as an ideal storage unit for olive oil. This is due to being completely opaque, thus permitting no light to touch to oil, as well as terracotta being a perfect temperature insulator and allowing the oil within to maintain steady and ideal temperatures for longer oil life.

These bottles are also refillable and resusable.

Single source olive harvest – all olives hand-picked on one farm in Calabria, Italy. The farm lies on a hillside at an altitude of 400-700 meters, the ideal altitude for olive farming.

Olive Oil is extracted within 24 hours after picking from trees.

Cold pressed by mechanical two-phase extraction means, at a maximum temperature of 27 degree celsius (80.6 degrees Fahrenheit). Two-phase extraction ensures higher polyphenol properties remain in the Extra Virgin Olive Oil, compared to the more commonly used three-phase extraction process.

Absolutely 0 chemicals used. Not one. No chemicals on the farmland, no chemicals on the olives and no chemicals used during or after the extraction process.

Harvest takes place in September/early November - depending on when the olives are ready for picking.

This is an EARLY HARVEST. Harvest early and you will have a more robust, peppery flavor, with significantly higher levels of polyphenols – powerful antioxidants that make Extra Virgin Olive Oil a superfood.

As this olive oil is direct from farm, there is absolutely no tampering or diluting of this product by middlemen, thus ensuring this product maintains its integrity.

Italia Standard Olive Oil has a 0.3% acidity level. Extra Virgin Olive Oil must feature a free acidity no higher than 0.8%.

This Early Harvest Extra Virgin Olive Oil comes from both carolea and geracese olives that all grow on the same farm.
